The Craft

Made the slow way

Every Botirry strap passes through one pair of hands from start to finish. We do not split the work across a line, because the person who cuts the leather is the person who should feel how it stitches and how the edge takes paint.

1. Choosing the leather

We work with premium calf leathers and a small run of refined exotic leathers, chosen for grain, firmness, and how they age. Each hide is checked by hand, and only the cleanest sections become straps.

2. Cutting to your size

Nothing is pre-made. After you order, we cut your strap to the exact lug and buckle width you chose, so it fits your watch and your wrist properly.

3. Hand-stitching

We saddle-stitch by hand with two needles, the old way. It takes longer than a machine, but a hand-stitched seam will not unravel if one thread is nicked - each stitch is locked on its own.

4. Edges and finish

Edges are sanded, sealed, and hand-painted in layers until they are smooth to the touch. A soft lining goes against the wrist, and quick-release spring bars make it easy to swap between watches.

Made to order

Because we build each strap after you order, please allow 3 to 5 business days for crafting, then tracked delivery of about 10 to 15 business days to the US and 12 to 20 business days to other countries. You are not buying something off a shelf - you are commissioning a small piece of work.
