Good leather is built to last, but a little care goes a long way. Here is how to keep your Botirry strap looking its best.
Keep it dry
Leather and water are not friends. A few drops are fine, but avoid soaking your strap, and take it off before swimming or a long shower. If it does get wet, let it dry slowly at room temperature, away from direct heat.
Let it rest
If you can, rotate between a couple of straps. Giving leather a day off between wears lets it dry out from skin contact and helps it keep its shape much longer.
Wipe it down
Every so often, wipe your strap with a soft, dry cloth to lift away dust and oils. For a deeper clean, a barely-damp cloth is enough - skip harsh soaps and solvents.
Embrace the patina
Real leather changes with you. It softens, deepens in color, and picks up a character that is entirely your own. Those small marks are not wear and tear - they are the story of a strap that is actually being worn.
Treated kindly, a handmade strap will outlast many of the watches it carries.
